I am a Middle School Librarian at Friends School of Baltimore.  I have been a librarian for 13 years, serving 6 years with the Howard County Public School System before arriving at my current school.  I teach a 7th Grade Media Literacy class, and collaboratively co-teach with a number of teachers at the school, including Technology, General Music, Geography, and U.S. History.  I love it!

My professional interests are: information literacy, multiple intelligences and learning styles, teaching through movement, curriculum-writing, technology integration, and bridging the gap between digital natives and digital immigrants.

My personal interests are: dancing, singing, knitting, sewing, art, living history, writing and of course – reading!

One Response to About

I will be hosting a blog tour October 24-28, 2011. Several authors and illustrators will be participating, including: Bonny Becker, Barbara Jean Hicks, Diane Hipp, Deborah Hopkinson, Christopher and Jane Kurtz, and Leslie Patricelli. For a complete list, please check: http://www.provatoevents.com/blog_tour_2011.htm

Interviews should be completed prior to October 21, 2011. This is a perfect opportunity for students, librarians and bloggers to access award winning artists and authors at no cost. Bring the arts to life; involve students in the interview and blogging process.

If you require a book/book review prior to an interview, please let me know where to send a book.

The Tour will be publicized by Provato Events through a press release prior to the event. All interviews will be listed on the Provato Events website with links to the blog sites. Additionally, most authors/artists will provide links to their interviews, which can help drive traffic to your site.

To schedule an interview, please contact me today.

    Thank you!
